AMITABH BACHCHAN BLESSES POWER WOMAN SMITA THACKERAY’S MUKKTI CULTURAL HUB, FILM FRATERNITY EXTENDS SUPPORT

After having relentlessly worked towards the causes of Women Empowerment, HIV-AIDS Awareness, LGBTQ Rights, Environment Protection and such others, Power Woman and Social Activist Smita Thackeray is now on a mission to propagate Art and Culture. Owing to the dearth of cultural hubs in the Western suburbs of the city, Smita Thackeray's the Mukkti Cultural Hub in Model Town, Andheri West, where Art in the form of dance, music, paintings and performance can be practiced and showcased, comes like a breath of fresh air.

While Mega Star Amitabh Bachchan gave his blessings to the Mukkti Cultural Hub, filmmakers and celebrities of the likes of Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, Sonu Nigam, Shekhar Suman, Gautam Rode, Pankhuri Awasthy, Makarand Deshpande, Ila Arun, Dolly Thakore, Guneet Monga, Indra Kumar, Archana Kochhar, Manyata Dutt, Neeraj Kabi, Mohomed Morani, Lucky Morani, Onir, Ramesh Taurani, Rekha Chaudhari, Sangeeta Ahir, Shiamak Davar, Ajay Kapoor, Sanjay Chhel and many others walked in hordes to extend their support Smita Thackeray and her team.     

Enthused Smita Thackeray, “Andheri does not have many multi-use spaces for artistic and cultural expression. This World Culture Day week, we have added a new vantage point in the form of the Mukkti Cultural Hub in Model Town, Andheri West, that will cater to the needs of people in Performing Arts and we are hoping for it become the hub of entertainment in the suburbs. I am overcome with felicity today that Shri Amitabh Bachchan and the rest of the film industry has come forward to support me in this cause.”

                                      

Mukkti Cultural Hub has an auditorium capable of accommodating 378 people, 680 sq. ft. of  workshop space, 1000 sq. ft. of open terrace space, a 2500 sq. ft. dance studio. Every detail is taken care of, not just infrastructurally, but also ideologically, by providing State of The Art equipment, alongside wheelchair accessibility in all spaces. Mukkti Cultural Hub is hoping to become a junction of intersection for a wide variety of artistic and intellectual pursuits, pulling in diverse crowds through its doors.

#BeatPlasticPollution च्या 'टिक टिक प्लास्टिक' ह्या गाण्याच्या अमाप यशानंतर आता भामला संस्थेचे असिफ भामला आणि सहेर भामला एक नवीन मोहीम घेऊन परतले आहेत. यावेळी वायू प्रदूषण विरोधात एक नवीन गाणे घेऊन. ज्याचे बोल आहेत हवा आने दे  #HawaAaneDe , नुकतेच अंधेरी वेस्ट च्या स्टुडिओ मध्ये या गाण्याचे शूट झाले. प्रसिद्ध अभिनेता राजकुमार राव आणि गायक शान यांनी गाण्याचे शूट करत असताना वायू प्रदूषणाच्या कारणास्तव ह्या मोहिमेला पाठिंबा दिला.

“Motive behind organizing Astrooworld exhibition is to bridge the gap between the Spiritual & Holistic Community & the masses, by bringing them together, guiding them, and connecting them to the right experts, and bringing about meaningful transformation in the life of the masses by creating awareness about the spiritual & holistic sciences, alternative medicine and therapies,” averred Siraj Jondhale, the woman behind Astrooworld and INSPIRE.

Writer-Director-Life Coach Anusha Srinivasan Iyer was among one of the many awardees honoured on stage. She added, “Being awarded for community work like being a life coach is truly an honour. I’d like to thank anyone and everyone who has helped someone in their community to improve lives.”

Basannt R. Rasiwasia, a renowned Vastu & Numerologist also received an award for his contribution towards Vastu science. He averred, "Vastu is a complex subject. To accurately depict what's good and not good for a person requires a holistic knowledge on our ancient sciences. I feel honoured to have received this award."

India’s biggest & most popular spiritual, holistic, wellness-conscious living exhibition, Astrooworld, having completed 11 editions in Mumbai, is all set to move to other cities including Delhi, Bangalore, Jaipur, and Chennai very soon this year.

90 साल के इतिहास में पहली बार ऑस्कर एकेडेमी के अध्यक्ष भारत आयेंगे, इंडियन ऑस्कर सेलेक्शन के सदस्य उज्जवल एन निरगुडकर करेंगे जॉन बेली की भारत यात्रा का संयोजन।

उज्ज्वल एन। निरगुडकर घुमंतू सदस्य के तौर पर ऑस्कर एकेडमी से जुड़नेवाले पहले शख़्स बन गये हैं और इस तरह से उन्होंने दुनिया भर में भारत का मान बढ़ाया है।

अब उनके गौरवशाली सफ़र में एक और सुनहरा अध्याय जुड़ने जा रहा है क्योंकि वो भारतीय मनोरंजन जगत को दुनिया के पटल पर लाने की भरकस कोशिश कर रहे हैं। बता दें कि 2017 से उज्ज्वल एन। निरगुडकर एकेडमी ऑफ़ पिक्चर आर्ट्स और साइंसेस के सदस्य हैं। उनका नाम अब अमिताभ बच्चन, आमिर खान, सलमान खान, इरफ़ान खान, ऐश्वर्या राय, प्रियंका चोपड़ा, दीपिका पादुकोण जैसी हस्तियों की फ़ेहरिस्त में शुमार हो गया है। मगर इस सूची में वो एकमात्र ऐसे जूरी मेम्बर हैं जिनका ताल्लुक तकनीकी पक्ष से है।

निरगुडकर 24 से 26 मई के बीच ऑस्कर एकेडमी अवॉर्ड के अध्यक्ष जॉन और उनकी पत्नी व एकेडमी की गर्वनर कैरल लिटलटन की भारत यात्रा का आधिकारिक रूप से संयोजन  करेंगे।

बेहद उत्साहित नज़र आ रहे उज्ज्वल ने कहा, "90 साल के इतिहास में ऐसा पहली बार हो रहा है कि एकेडमी के अध्यक्ष भारत के दौरे पर आयेंगे। हम उनके इस दौरे से काफ़ी उत्साहित हैं और हमें उम्मीद है कि उनके यहां आने से अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर भारत के संबंध और मजबूत होंगे।"

ये पावर कपल पांच दिनों में जिन कार्यक्रमों में शिरकत करेंगे, उनमें मराठी सिनेमा से संबंधित 56वें राज्यस्तरीय पुरस्कार में विशेष अतिथि बनना और राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस और शिक्षा मंत्री विनोद तावड़े से मुलाक़ात करना, फिल्म्स डिविज़न में स्थित म्यूज़ियम ऑफ़ इंडियन सिनेमा देखना, द आर्ट ऑफ़ हॉलीवुड - द इंटरप्ले ऑफ़ सिनेमाटोग्राफ़ी ऐंड एडिटिंग पर मास्टर क्लास का आयोजन करना, महाराष्ट्र सरकार द्वारा फ़िल्म्स डिविज़न में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में फ़िल्म स्कूल के स्टूडेंट्स से संवाद करना, FICCI द्वारा आयोजित डिनर में शामिल होना, दिल्ली और मुम्बई में होनेवाले प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस को संबोधित करना, दिल्ली में सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री और सचिव से मुलाक़ात करना शामिल है।

निरगुडकर ने बेली की एक ख़्वाहिश को पूरा करने का इंतज़ाम कर लिया है । उन्होंने बेली और उनकी पत्नी के लिए प्यार के महान और अद्भुत प्रतीक माने जानेवाले और दुनिया भर में मशहूर ताज महल में कुछ हसीन पल बिताने का बंदोबस्त किया है। यकीनन दोनों के लिए वो लम्हे कुछ ऐसे होंगे, जिसे दोनों शायद कभी भुला नहीं पायेंगे।

Nana Patekar’s Discovery

Mann Bipin, a young Indian drummer currently based in LA, started drumming at the tender age of just 2 years. Mainly known for his impeccable speed, power-packed performance, aesthetic style and funky groove, he is best known for playing and leading his father's band, ‘The Beaterzz’, back in India.

Before graduating from Musicians Institute – college of contemporary music located at Hollywood Boulevard, California, Mann Bipin learned the stellar art of drumming from Mr. Pankaj Sharma from the time he was just eleven. The struggle came to an end when Nana Patekar, a celebrated actor in the Indian film industry, witnessed him live and told his assistant, Mr. Bipin Chunawala, Mann's father, “Mark my words. Your kid is going to be a star." Then, they decided to sponsor Mann for his music education.

During his time at MI, he was awarded as ‘The Best Player Of The Year’. He also has performances with renowned Jazz bass guitarist Marcus Miller to his credit! He has also played for Lars Deutsch, an Emmy award recipient and Oscar nominee, with International award winning artist Paloma Rush. He also played with Phrimaphaa Khornrojjachawin (nokphrima), a KPN Award winner'09, Thailand; Best singer in R&B genre in World Championship of Performing Arts 2016, 2nd price in International Festival White Night of Saint Petersburg and May Patcharapong, an internationally acclaimed bass player in a saxophone pub, Thailand. Due to which he did a drum clinic in Bangkok, Thailand in Chandrakasem Rajabhat University with nokphrima.

Currently, he is playing at Andrae Crouch’s church, often referred to as ‘the father of modern gospel music’ by contemporary Christians and gospel music professionals, with Pattie Howard as the music director, known for singing background for many major artists including Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight, Mary J Bilge, Brandy, Fantasia, Queen LaTifah, Madonna, Andrea Crouch, Michael Jackson, Curtis Siger, Lisa Stanfield, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Reba Rambo, Diana Ross among others. He is currently, also, the drummer for Arthur Menezes, ‘Gibson award/Albert King Award’ for best guitarist by the Blues Foundation (IBC 2018).

This has been the journey of a middle class Indian boy from playing for Gujarati Garba to Jazz, Blues, Funk and Gospel music. Truly, struggle comes to an end when someone like Nana Patekar holds your hand.
