सुंदर, जिंदादिल और  हिंदी फिल्म 1921 की प्रसिद्धि से लाखों दिलों में अपनी जगह बनाने वली अभिनेत्री   एंजेला क्रिस्लन्ज़की  इन दिनों सातवें आसमान पर है। मंत्रमुग्ध कर देने वाली भुरे आंखो वाली ये सुंदर अदाकारा अब उदित नारायण-नीती मोहन के आने वाले म्युजिक वीडियो का चेहरा है। और अभी भुवनेश्वर में गाने के लिए शूटिंग कर रही हैं । एंजेला का यह डाँसिन्ग नम्बर 90 के दशक के किंग ऑफ रोमांस उदित नारायण ने गाया है और यह गीत एक शादी सीक्वेंस  है। "मुझे गीत और गीत के बोल से प्यार है," वह कहती हैं। “बॉलीवुड के गाने मेरे दिल में एक विशेष स्थान रखते हैं। मैं बहुत उत्साहित हूँ।"

सिर्फ इतना ही नहीं है, आधी भारतीय और आधी पोलिश नागरित्व की रहने वाली एंजेला का गाने मे भारतीय पहनावा है और यह उनके लिए बहुत रोमांचक है। "मैं अपनी भारतीय जड़ों से प्यार करती हूं और इसीलिए मैं भारत में यानी अपने घर पर हूं," वह कहती हैं।

सुपरस्टार सलमान खान को जन्मदिन पर 'कैसे मिलू मैं..... ?' - एक सब्जी विक्रेता की सुरीली भेट

हम सभी ने बॉलीवुड में कई प्रेरणादायक किस्से सुने हैं लेकिन एक अनोखी किस्म की कहानी जो अब तक अनकही ही है। सूरत की सड़कों पर सब्जियां बेचने से लेकर गायक बनने तक उनकी यात्रा एक प्रेरणा का स्रोत है। उनका नाम है अरुण कुमार निकम, जो सलमान खान के उत्साही प्रशंसक हैं। बॉलीवूड के सुपरस्टार सलमान की अदाकारी ही हैं जो उनके सपने को आगे बढ़ाने में सबसे बडा जरिया बनी। अरुण कुमार अपने दूसरे म्यूजिकल वेंचर 'कैसे मिलू मैं' नामक शीर्षक एक गाना लॉन्च किया हैं, जो अपने पसंदीदा स्टार के जन्मदिन की पूर्व संध्या पर यह उनकी तरफ से समर्पित सुरीली भेट है।वैसे बॉलीवूड के सुपरस्टार सलमान खान के कई  प्रशंसक है, लेकिन केवल एक सच्चा प्रशंसक ही अपने आयडॉल से वास्तव में इस तरह प्रेरित होता है, क्या यह सराहनीय नहीं है?

अरुण कुमार निकम का जलगाँव में  एक मध्यम वर्गीय महाराष्ट्रीयन परिवार में जन्म हुआ। एक गायक-लेखक होने के लिए उन्हे काफी संघर्ष करना पडा। यह उस घटना की याद दिलाते हैं, जब सलमान खान पर आरोप लगाया गया था और लोगों ने दावा किया था कि वह एक अपराधी है , "तब मैं  12 वीं की परीक्षा मे फैल हो गया था क्योंकि मैं पढाई में  बिल्कुल भी ध्यान केंद्रित नहीं कर सका। लोग भाईजान के बारे में गलत गलत बातें कह रहे थे। ” अरुण निकम के परिवार के सदस्य उनसे कतई खुश नहीं थे जो वो कर रहे थे , क्योंकि उन्होंने उनकी  शिक्षा पर जो भी पैसा बचाया था, वह सब व्यर्थ हो रहा था। जब सब चीजें उनके लिए काम करना बंद हुई  तो वह  सूरत में सेटल होने और नए सिरे से काम शुरू करने के लिए मजबूर हो गये। “जब मैं पहली बार सूरत गया ,तब  मुझे कुछ  समझ नही आ रहा था की मुझे क्या करना चाहिए ? फिर किसी तरह मैंने सब्जियां बेचना शुरू कर दिया। "  २००१ से यह संघर्ष भरी कहानी शुरू हुई तब में महज १५ साल का था । यह भावनात्मक बात अरुण निकम ने साझा की ।  उन्होंने सलमान के पिता सलीम खान के साथ एक भेट को याद करते हुए कहा, "मैं सलीम सर से मिला और उनको  अपनी इच्छाएं भी बताई कि मैं एक कहानी लिख रहा हूँ  जिसमें भाई का मुख्य किरदार होगा।" जीससे भी उस दौरान अरुण कुमार मिले उन्होने कहा "आप लेखक बनने के लिये अभी बहुत छोटे हो। मैं भारत के नामचीन प्रोडक्शन हाउस में भी गया , लेकिन उन्होंने कहा यह मेरे लिए बहुत जल्दी होगा।" १५ साल के होने  नाते तब कुछ सहायक नहीं हुआ  ऐसा उनका मानना है।  हालांकि सलमान से मिलने के अपने सपने को नहीं छोड़ते हुए, उन्होंने सप्ताह के दिनों में सूरत में सब्जियां बेचते और हर सप्ताह के अंत में सारी कमाई अपनी किस्मत आजमाई खर्च करते रहे ।

१४ साल तक संघर्ष करते हुए  कभी यह नहीं जानते थे कि वह सलमान से मिलेंगे या नहीं, पर अरुण कुमार निकम का मानना था कि उनकी किस्मत चमक रही थी। उसी दौरान उन्हे  संगीत निर्देशक निखिल कामथ के साथ  काम करने का एक मौका मिला और  अरुण निकम का पहला संगीत प्रोजेक्ट शुरू हुआ। इस पहले प्रोजेक्ट का शीर्षक था 'वाह तेरी बेवफाई'। “इससे मुझे वह आत्मविश्वास हासिल हुआ जो मैं हमेशा से करना चाहता था जो है सलमान सर के लिए एक कहानी। फिर प्रेम रतन धन पायो ’के सेट पर, मेरा सपना पूरा हुआ। मैं अंत में अपनी आइडोल से मिला।"  उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि उन कठिन समय के दौरान जब उन्होंने सलमान से मिलने की कोशिश की तो उनके पास  पैसे समाप्त हो गए और ऐसी स्थिति हो गई कि वह अक्सर सड़क पर भिखारियों के साथ भोजन करते थे  उस दौरान के कुछ पलो को याद करते हुए उन्होंने कहा, “मैंने खुद से पूछा था कि मैं कैसे निकलूंगा। तब भीतर से एक आवाज उठी, 'कैसे मिलू  मैं ? ’कुछ इस तरह इस गाने का जन्म हुआ ।"

सिर्फ इसलिए नहीं कि वह भाई के बहुत बड़े प्रशंसक हैं बल्कि इसलिए अरुण कुमार निकम सलमान से दोबारा मिलना चाहते हैं।  क्योंकि वह एक अच्छे लेखक है और उनके लिए एक विशेष कहानी भी लिखी है। “मुझे सलमान भाई की सिर्फ एक दिन के समय की आवश्यकता है  यह मेरे पास आखिरी विकल्प है। अगर इसके बाद कुछ नहीं हुआ , तो जाहिर है मुझे फिर से सब्जियां बेचने के लिए वापस जाना होगा। मेरे परिवार ने बहुत समय पहले ही मुझे छोड़ दिया था, हालांकि उस एक एल्बम के लॉन्च के बाद से, हम फिर से बात करने लगे  क्योंकि वे जानते हैं कि मैं अब में स्थिर हूं, ”यह जानते हुए कि वह अपने जीवन में कुछ कर रहा हूँ। कठोर परिश्रम ने मेरे लिए यह संभव कर दिया है।", जुनूनी प्रशंसक अरुण कुमार निकम ने कहा।

मुंबई की आलीशान सहारा स्टार के सिनेथेक्यु में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में मुकेश ऋषि, सुदेश भोसले, पवन शंकर, संतोष शुक्ला, अभिनव गौतम और अर्शी खान के साथ अरुण कुमार निकम के अन्य टीम मेंबर जिन्होंने हर घडी उनका साथ दिया जिनमे अभिनेता विनोद सोनी, निर्माता दीपिका सोनी, ख्याति भट्ट, जय तिलेकर और जेठमल सोनी, वीडियो निर्देशक सागर सहाय, संगीत निर्देशक गौरव कुमार, दोस्त और समर्थक अशोक हदिया, मनोज राठौड़ और अजय सोनी, सुनील मेवावाला, मोहन दास, लेखक-निर्देशक अनुशा श्रीनिवासन अय्यर, सुरेश मिश्रा और अन्य भी इस कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित थे। अनूप जलोटा द्वारा ‘कैसे मिलू मैं ..?’ प्रस्तुत किया गया।

Mumbai Meets A Maharishikaa

Several Mumbaikars participated in a self-awareness and awakening happening that was held in the city on December 22, titled Presence Day, the full-day session started at 10 am and went on till the evening. 

The event largely included several activities for self-knowing and self-mastery, besides a question and answer session, wherein the participants sought responses for their questions from spiritual guru Maharishikaa Preeti. Addressing the attendees she said, “It’s incumbent on each one of you to invest time, energy and resources in knowing yourself. Its the crucial missing piece in education in the sub-continent”

City-based financial consultant Kavita Bhambani says that the session was like a reminder that the answers don’t lie outside, they lie within us. “As a society, we want to spend money on movies, dates, and going out on a holiday. But I think it’s important to give ourselves an experience like this. Spiritual teacher Maharishikaa Preeti really helped me.” 

Another attendee Harish Kalra said the session was an eye-opener for him. “It felt like I was sleeping for the last 40 years,” he says. 

Priyanka Nalavade, who is into revenue management, says, “I loved Maharishikaa Preeti’s symbol, the Mirror talisman. With its six concentric circles, each representing a realm of consciousness, and the mirror in the centre representing self-reflection, the micro cosmos and the macro cosmos. It had a strong impact on me.”

जब देशभक्ति की बात होती है तो भारतीय भारतीय होते हैं। भले ही सीमा पार की प्रतिभा सबसे अच्छी हो, हिंदुस्तानी भावना हमेशा राज करती है। इंडियन आइडल 11 की युवा प्रतिभा सनी हिंदुस्तानी के साथ ऐसा ही कुछ हुआ हैं, संगीतकार शमीर टंडन द्वारा रचित 'द बॉडी' फिल्म का गाना 'मैं जानता हूँ' गाने वाले थे लेजेंडरी गायक राहत फ़तेह अली खान पर पर विशाल दादलानी ने सनी हिन्दुस्तानी के नाम का सुझाव दिया और शामीर ने सनी कि आवाज में गाना रिकॉर्ड किया.

इतना ही नही! खबरो के अनुसार  डरे हुए होने के बावजुद सनी हिंदुस्तानी स्टूडियो में रिकॉर्डिंग एक ही टेक में गाना गाकर शमीर टंडन को प्रभावित करने में किया। इतना ही नही अभिनेता इमरान हाशमी ने भी इस धुन को काफ़ी पसंद किया। “मुझे वो संगीत पसंद है जो आत्मा को छूता जाता है। जब सनी खन्ना ने मुझे शमीर (टंडन) द्वारा रचित इस गीत को सुनाया और सनी हिंदुस्तानी द्वारा गाया गया, तो मैंने इसकी बारीकियों, नाजुक धुन और इसके सार्थक बोलो से प्यार सा हो गया। "

Bollywood seems to enamoured by the two-time National award winning designer’s collection. And why not? Ana Singh has to her credit, 1101 films, and has worked with over 250 stars. She is also loved and revered by most. In fact friend Sussanne Khan was so taken by Ana Singh’s works that she immediately offered to curate the collection and The Charcoal Project has presented it.


Taking to Instagram, Raveena Tandon says, “The fabulous new collaboration between Ana Singh and Sussanne Khan has me lovestruck.” Confides Disha Patani, “All the best to the most amazing Ana Singh for this beautiful collection. Can’t wait for the launch,” adds Ayesha Shroff, “It is so beautiful, unique and spectacular that it is like entering Alladin’s cave.”

Ana Singh pays tribute to Christ with her Christian Vintage Collection

The stars of Tinseltown and the who's who of Mumbai descended in tribute today to grace two-time National Award-winning Ana Singh’s ‘The Christian Vintage Art Collection’, with Ubaidh Shah, curated by Sussanne Khan, presented by The Charcoal Project. Among the attendees were Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Esha Deol, Neelam Kothari, Ayesha Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Krishna Shroff, Eban Hyams, Pradeep Guha, Malaika Parekh Khan, Laila Khan, Zareen Khan, Madhoo, Kabir Bedi, Ajay Harinath Singh, Sooraj Pancholi, Sonali Bendre, Aaishwary Thackeray and Mihika Naik, Gurdeep Kohli, Kim Sharma, Aarti and Kailash Surendranath, Yash Daga, Kshiraja Surendranath, Chunky Pandey, Bhavna Pandey and Dr. Larra Shah.

 She is one of the most revered creative talents of tinsel town with a repertoire of over 1101 films as costume designer. Two-time National Award-winner and Guinness Book record holder for maximum films, Ana Singh is also known for her 1,70,000 outfits designed depicting the states of India for the Common Wealth Games opening and closing ceremony among others. That’s not all! She also did a wardrobe for Michael Jackson during his Mumbai show.

 But few know that the designer has a special bonding with Jesus Christ since her birth on December 25, Christmas. Hence, as an extension of Ana Singh's artistic persona and her tribute to Christ, the designer brings to India, the Christian Vintage Art collection by Ana Singh Art & Design Collective and Ubaidh Shah, curated by Sussanne Khan, presented by The Charcoal Project.

 Says Ana, “I was born on Christmas, have a Catholic name and am brought up in Bandra. Christian art has always been a part of me. My mother’s dad was a colonel doctor in the British army so mom had lived in British India for a very long time. The influence always rubs off,” avers Ana Singh, adding that her mother could hear nothing but carols when she was born, the day being Christmas, “As I started my creative journey and went to the J.J. School of Arts. Christian art is something I always identified with. As I have travelled through the world, I looked at all the churches and all the other beautiful things and I just love the art and the whole projection of it.”

 The Christian Vintage Art Collection objects d’art are one-of-a-kind, offering a wide range of interpretations of bejewelled Christian art in expressive Byzantine/Venetian/Italian influenced vintage art pieces. Ranging from designer jackets to show pieces, to huge black, white and colourful hand-painted beds, to interior design pieces, Ana Singh’s works are also priced in such a way that there's something for everybody to buy actually.

 “The jewellery begins at Rs 6000 while the artefacts sourced from various parts of the world and crafted into objects d’art with a heritage value transcending generation, are priced from Rs 40,000-Rs 1,50,000. It is simply a project from my heart, an extension of myself,” avers Ana.

 Collaborating with Ana is young Ubaidh Shah who has enabled Ana to source artefacts from around the world. “Ubaid Shah has a very good eye for finding beautiful things. He has sourced some art and artefacts and vintage textiles that I took inspiration from and created an eclectic line of jewellery, furniture and jackets. He is a great asset in making the collection complete.”

 Adds Ubaidh Shah, “Ana Singh is more than an inspiration. She is an institution and there is so much to learn. The way she gave the finish to the old artefacts with her magical fingers in the most breathtaking modern way is something only she can do.”

 Adds Sussanne Khan whose The Charcoal Project presents the collection, “I am so happy to introduce the Christian Vintage collection by my multifaceted, amazingly talented sister from another mother,” she enthuses.

She is known for her 170000 outfits designed depicting the states of India for the Common Wealth Games opening and closing ceremony among others.

'Mudda 370 J&K' had its grand premiere with talented cast and crew and fellow stars of the industry.

The film 'Mudda 370 J&K' premiered at PVR in Andheri, during which the film's producers Atul Krishna and Bhanwar Singh Pundir, director Rakesh Sawant and actors Hiten Tejwani, Anjali Pandey, Rakhi Sawant, Gauri Pradhan, Tanvi Tandon, Nisar Akhtar , Sayed Ahmed, Sahil Multy Khan, Deepak Sharma, Raj Zutshi, Saurabh Dubey, Sujata Mehta and other cast and crew members were also present.

Set in the picturesque locations of Kashmir, fondly referred to a heaven on earth and the crown jewel of India, 'Mudda 370 J&K' is about the picturesque locales that have turned red with the battles since 1947. If at times J&K has seen rebels turn the snow red, at other times the lush greens singe with the touch of gunpowder due to cross-border terrorism.

Shamir Tandon's Main Jaanta Hoon is simply soul-stirring: Emraan Hashmi

Composer Shamir Tandon has churned out immortal hits and is known for his amazing sense of global music and selective and eclectic work. The latest actor who has confessed that he loves Shamir Tandon's  melodies is actor Emraan Hashmi.    When the actor heard Shamir's compositions for the  horror-thriller The Body, he  simply loved the songs. If you recall, it is the  immortal melodies that have always played a significant part of Emraan Hashmi's successful films. “I have a  soft corner for soulstirring songs. By  God's grace, most of my songs sear the soul. Main Janta Hoon from The Body by Shamir Tandon is one such haunting melody."

When Sunny Khanna, CEO, Emraan Hashmi Films, made Emraan hear the  Shamir Tandon track, he was floored. "I simply loved its nuances, the delicate melody and its meaningful lyrics of Main Jaanta Hoon. Even the other songs by Shamir are amazing,” averred  Emraan.

Shamir Tandon also has an eye to identify talent and this on the reccomendation of his friend Vishal Dadlani,  has taken Sunny Hindustani from Indian Idol Rom Rom. Main Jaanta Hu has vocals by Jubin Nautiyal while Maine Socha Na Ho Itna Pyar Karo is sung by Sreya Ghoshal.

The Body, a Viacom film, stars Emraan Hashmi, Rishi Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipalia in lead roles and is produced by Sunir Khetrapal, with songs released by T-Series.
